About us Hello. I’m Joe Novak, owner of the Clearwater Guesthouse. Back in 1985, after years of searching, my family and I found a little bit of paradise just outside the Olympic National Park, between Lake Quinault and Kalaloch on the northwest coast of Washington state. Vacant and run down, it may have seemed less than desirable to many, but we thought it had possibilities. Now, more than two decades later, we’ve never been happier to have made the decision. The nearby hiking, fishing, beachcombing, mushrooming and bird watching, along with many other outdoor activities, have made it a home away from home, not just for us but for our many friends who come to visit regularly. For vacationers it’s a place to get away from telephones, television and the noise that city life is filled with. The four acres of property, mini-rainforest, flowers, garden and quiet might be just what you’ve had in mind, too. Most of our visitors return year after year. In fact, we’ve watched couples come alone, then with infants and finally with nearly grown families. This guesthouse works on the “honor system” thereby saving visitors the money that would otherwise be spent on maid service and our visitors have truly been honorable in this sense, always leaving the place at least as clean as they found it* We hope you, too, will consider a visit after looking over the information at this site. If you have questions about the guesthouse after looking things over, please give us a call at 253.759.8738 or e-mail us at the site. *If you are interested in having someone cleanup for your party at departure, I can usually arrange for this service for a modest price. Ask about this when you make your reservation.
See you in Clearwater,
Joe |
