Where is the guesthouse?

The guesthouse is located about 62 miles north of Hoquiam, Washington, 3.1 miles from U.S. highway 101 on the Clearwater Road.

Where is the nearest store and telephone?

There is a small store and gas station at Queets, about 8 miles from the guesthouse and another store and gas station at Kalaloch, about 12 miles from the house. Both these stores are located on highway 101, north of its junction with the Clearwater Road. Be sure to use a phone card as the telephone company serving phone booths in the area charges very high prices.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

There are good restaurants at Kalaloch and, to the south, at Lake Quinault Lodge. Several other smaller restaurants are located at Amanda Park(Lake Quinault) and on the South Shore Road of Lake Quinault.

What activities are available in the area?

Beachcombing, river fishing for salmon, steelhead and trout, mushrooming, canoeing, rafting, hiking, bird watching , surf fishing for ocean perch and smelting for surf smelt are among the many things folks do in this area.

Describe what’s available/not available in the home.

The guesthouse is furnished except for towels, dishtowels, sheets and pillow cases. All cookware, dishes, etc. are furnished including coffee pots, microwave, double oven, toaster and refrigerator. There is no phone or television. Cell phones work best outside the home and service can be sporadic. There is a fireplace insert and plenty of dry wood is available as well as electric baseboard heat. An oversized shower is in the bathroom. Toilet paper is provided but not paper towels.

What will I find outside the home?

A large yard, barbecue pit and prep station with water, a basketball hoop, ping pong shed, Weber kettle barbecue, a couple mountain bikes and various other toys.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, provided that their owners take the usual measures to clean up after them and prevent them from chasing the resident outside dwelling cat.

What is check in/out time?

Visitors should plan to arrive no earlier than 1:00pm and leave no later than noon unless special provisions are made ahead of time.

How about cleanup duties?

Visitors do a thorough cleanup of the home before leaving, including vacuuming, mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors and washing the dishes.

How do I get into the house?

Once your non-refundable deposit for the first night of your stay is received you will be notified as to the location of the keys to the home.

How do I make a reservation?

Simply go to www.clearwaterguesthouse.com and find your preferred dates on the site calendar. Click on the dates, complete the information requested and click on “Submit”. You will receive notice that your request has been received. Then, you must send in the first night’s rent as a non-refundable deposit. The balance is due one week prior to the first night of your stay.
